Analysis of the Reiner P5 Cartridge Series in the jetStamp 1025

The jetStamp 1025 is the latest mobile printing device from Reiner. The system features a print height of one inch (~2.54 cm), a digital display, and a wide range of external connectivity options.

Technological Basis: HP TIJ 2.5

The jetStamp 1025 uses the P5 cartridge series, which is based on the proven HP TIJ 2.5 technology.

While HP printheads typically offer a print height of ½ inch with two parallel nozzle rows, another manufacturer has arranged these rows vertically. This allows the same technology to achieve double the print height.

Fill Level Detection via Fuse System

The fill level of the P5 cartridges is stored using so-called fuses integrated into the cartridge. As ink is consumed, these fuses are triggered sequentially, permanently and irreversibly recording the fill level.

Development of a Sustainable Alternative

We are currently working on a technical solution to enable refilling of these cartridges while ensuring full acceptance by the printer system.

Our goal is to provide customers with an ecological and cost-efficient alternative to the original product in the near future.
